I met Ingrid through Gaëlle a year ago. She had some photoshoot projects in mind and wanted to talk about them with me. Few months later, she contacted me. She told me she was expecting a baby girl and wanted to book a pregnancy photoshoot in May. Baby should arrive early August.
We both are living in the Val de Marne area. So we agreed (together with Pierre the future daddy) to have this pregnancy shoot by the Marne river. There is a place called Joinville that is very famous for charming guinguettes and bistros. We started to shoot on Fanac Island. It was very hot that day. It was on Mother’s day (May 28th) and at least 30 ° at the end of day. Ingrid’s best friend Karen did her make up and hair styling.
The Fanac Island is the heaven on earth when you live in or just around Paris. Who wouldn’t want a big house by the river? Well you can imagine we were all jealous of the people leaving in these beautiful old houses. If you had seen this lovely private garden salon with beautiful cushions and pretty candles, you would like to have a nap there right away. I really saw myselft leaving there. Then reality caught me up! I’m here to shoot baby!
Then we headed for Joinville Marina. I had another crush for that place: a cute restaurant with patio and light garlands, tasty cooking smells and nice old boats just like in small Mediterranean coastal villages.
We had a blast during this pregnancy shoot by the Marne river.
