I have already had the opportunity to cover some weddings but never as a second shooter. Well now its done ! I was the second at on of my colleague Benjamin Brette‘s amazing weddings. It was in Normandy. So we left Paris very early this Saturday morning. Anaïs and Arnaud’s wedding was taking place in Normandy. (ca. 1h15 drive from Cergy Pontoise). We had to be there at 10 am for the Bridal preparation. The venue was so beautiful. They hired the beautiful and cosy Portejoie Mansion and invited their families and loved ones for a day of madness! The bride and the groom had their room in the beautiful dovecote of the manor.
After a quick snack, we drove to Les Andelys for the civil ceremony at Town Hall. Then we head off to Chateau Gaillard for family and friends photos. We had to drive a little more for the religious office in the pretty little church of Venables. We started late as the priest had a christening in a village nearby. Their friends from the School of Arts & Métiers in Paris had put their uniforms and threw hats to congratulate the Bride and the Groom!
Until then, despite a dark and threatening sky, we avoided the rain. We enjoyed a nice cocktail in the mansion courtyard and could escape for a short moment for the couple session. Fortunately the storm and the rain decided to fall at the end of the cocktail. Dinner and the party were inside.
This day with Benjamin was very educationnal. I had a blast! Thanks to you ;)
